Welcome to Letterkenny Golf Club, Ladies Club.
Ladies,
Hi. I am honoured to be Lady Captain of Letterkenny Golf Club in 2013, the year the club celebrates its centenary year and hope that I can continue to maintain the high standard of leadership previously shown by Past Lady Captains.
My sincere thanks to Angela Kilgallen, our 2012 Captain, for all of her hard work and commitment in ensuring all members had a very enjoyable year of golf last year.
I know the spirit of this year’s committee is to try to best serve the needs of members of our club and I would like to wish Lady Vice Captain Catherine and all members of our committee success in attaining this goal. I hope that together we will welcome and respond to any contributions members will make to improve the club for our lady members.
I hope that 2013 will be a very enjoyable year of golf for all lady members and details of competitions for this golfing year will be available on the fixtures card in the New Year. I urge all members to participate in, not only the golfing competitions, but also, the many social events that our club provides- details of which will be forthcoming through-out the year. The success of our club is dependent upon the involvement of all members, no matter what stage of golf you are at.
To team captains and players, I would like to wish you good success in the year ahead. The commitment and dedication that team captains and team players make in representing our club is acknowledged and greatly appreciated.
I would like to wish Henry McCahey, Club Captain and Barry Ramsay, Club President, a very enjoyable year and I look forward to working together in making the centenary year a very memorable one.
I must also extend a special word of appreciation to Declan O’Carroll for his tremendous work in writing ‘Letterkenny Golf Club; The Centenary Years 1913-2012’. It is a fabulous record of the development of our club to date – including the ladies club.
Finally I again want to wish every lady member a great golfing year ahead.
